It's the first ever spreadable granola! Think the texture of a nut butter, with the warm cinnamon, vanilla, or chocolate granola taste you love. As for how you use it? The possibilities are endless: on toast, in a smoothie, on yogurt, on ice cream, in a sandwich, on a banana, on apples, by the spoonful... find inspiration on instagram or peep the blog for recipe ideas.

Yes! All products are made in our nut-free facility in Brooklyn Heights, OH.

We get our natural flavors from a flavor house. These flavor houses keep their formulations proprietary because their business is making these formulas. Because the formulations are proprietary, the flavor house is required to disclose where the natural essences or extracts are sourced. The flavorings we use are combinations of natural essence and extractives obtained solely from plants and these essences/extracts together gives a complex flavor. The flavors are organic compliant, vegan & top 8 allergen free.

Granola Butter® has a shelf life of 8-10 months after the date of manufacture. The best buy date on your jar will let you know when the product should be used by. We do recommend consuming the product within 1 month of opening. As for refrigeration, we recommend storing Granola Butter® at room temperature (in a cool, dark place like your pantry!) You can refrigerate if you'd like, but the texture will change into more of a cookie dough consistency. Make sure you stir the oils in before refrigerating, otherwise there will be a solid oil slick on top.

We recommend storing Granola Butter® in a cool, dark place out of direct sunlight (like your pantry or cabinet!) You can refrigerate Granola Butter®, but the oils will solidify and it will be more of a fudge-like texture than a spreadable one.

Sunflower Oil & Allergies - Sunflower seed allergy is not too common, but it does occur. Like the other oils, the allergic reaction is caused by proteins in crude sunflower oil. Those proteins are mostly removed during the refining process- Oat Haus uses a RBD (Refined) Sunflower Oil. As only trace amounts the protein that can cause an allergy is present after refining, most people with an allergy to sunflower seeds, are fine consuming refined sunflower seed oil. Nonetheless for folks with a very severe sunflower seed allergy (including anaphylaxis responses), refined sunflower oil may still pose a threat and we recommend discussing with your doctor.

I've heard online claims about seed oils - the majority of claims we see online that seed oils are not healthy come from non professional sources and are not based on clinical studies. Contrary to these opinions, most studies show that Sunflower Oil is a healthy fat - see Mark Sisson's explanation. Further the sunflower oil that we use in our granola butter is organic and high-oleic, meaning it is higher in monounsaturated fats which are good for heart health.

Sometimes during shipping, chocolate chips or sprinkles may melt in transit. We think it tastes even better, like a warm melty cookie! As a small business, we cannot afford to ship products refrigerated or replace melted jars.

Our jars are temperature-sensitive due to the coconut oil in our products. If kept at colder temps, the coconut oil will solidify and make it harder to stir. We recommend running the jar under hot water with the lid tightly closed, and then stirring in!
