Q&A with Bianca Klotsman of Holistic Rx
Bianca Klotsman tells it like it is. And I love it. After realizing that the corporate world wasn't exactly her calling, she took a step back, pivoted and went a different direction to pursue her passion. Now, as a holistic nutritionist, she's more fulfilled than ever. Fancy that.
Tell us a little bit about yourself!
I'm a holistic nutritionist, health coach & wellness influencer. I actually began my career working in corporate marketing and spent 4 long years with the company. I realized that my passion lied in wellness and I had to pursue it to be happy, so I enrolled in IIN and began seeing clients. It gave me so much more fulfillment than sitting at my desk and creating marketing campaigns that I had no interest in. Slowly, my Instagram account was born (@holisticrx) with the intension to bring holistic remedies, recipes and wellness tips to my audience, but it evolved in a slightly different direction, which I'm not mad about. I do plan on having a holistic remedy page on my (soon to be) updated website!
What was the inspiration behind Holistic Rx?
Making people feel their best, holistically! My biggest pet peeve is when people turn to medication before even considering switching up their diet. I focus on food as medicine in my practice and feel that is the most important type of therapy!
What are your top tips for someone looking to build their personal brand?
It doesn't happen overnight and I honestly believe in staying true to your unique personality, style and beliefs. Trying to mimic another account wont help you grow because eventually you will run out of idea if they're not your own!
What do you love most about your job?
Coming from a corporate job, I love the flexibility! I mean, that doesn't mean that I wont be working until the early hours of the morning sometimes, but it's so nice to be able to take a workout class or meet a friend for lunch- and I definitely consider myself lucky for being able to do so. I have also worked harder on my brand than I ever have for someone else, which feels so rewarding!
What do you love most about yourself?
I'm very real and am the one in my friend group to say it how it is. Sometimes, it's literally like #noshame. I think it's so important to stay real in a world where everyone tries to please everyone and I so appreciate it when people do the same.
Take us through a day in the life of Bianca. We want all the deets!
Ah this varies day-to-day! I try to wake up around the same time everyday to have a consistent routine, but that usually fails LOL. I typically start my day with warm water, lemon and apple cider vinegar + a probiotic. Then, I try to either make a workout class or an event (bonus if it includes a workout)- if not, then I'll usually book one around the same area. Depending on the day, I will either find a coffee shop or healthy eatery and work there for a few hours (usually with a friend) or at home if I have errands to run around my area. I try to schedule any client or business calls in the early afternoon and plan around afternoon events (if any). Then, I head home or to Whole Foods (yes, I basically live there) to pick some ingredients up for dinner and cook something (healthy) for my boyfriend and I. While he watches TV, I catch up on my daily emails and try to go to bed around 1030.
What's on the horizon for you in 2018?
So many exciting projects! Unfortunately, I cant say quite yet.
And lastly, what makes you feel like a kween?
Having a community of bad ass women who share the same practices, beliefs and goals!! You know who you are!
